Alan Blake

Alan Blake was one of the early leaders of Guts Frisbee as the game transitioned into an increasingly competitive sport. He is also one of the first of a handful of players to throw a two finger shot and had excellent defense. He also received special recognition for his sportsmanship remembering that how we play is equally as important as our play itself. Alan was the leader of Highland Avenue Aces team that won 3 straight International Frisbee Tournaments in the early 70s. His team, the Highland Avenue Aces are also recognized as one of the earlier teams to practice year round allowing them to hone their skills while increasing the need for other teams to do the same.
